Antiperspirants such as antiperspirant powders are made up of active ingredient compounds, wax and other ingredients. These active ingredients are good at sweat-controlling or blocking powers. Every cell has limited capacity to squeeze water, therefore, water present outside and inside the cells is stabilized and remains in control. Thus, when the water cannot squeeze out, it passes back through the osmosis. Because of this, the swelled cells come to normal size. This is the reason why antiperspirants are to be reapplied after certain intervals.
